Lachlan ElmerLachlan Elmer

Lachlan is a Senior Finance Executive with 20 years of financial industry experience with a specific focus across Infrastructure Management, Mergers and Acquisitions and Project Finance. He has a proven track record in executing strategic opportunities with high profile companies operating across a broad range of industries.

Lachlan’s transaction experience includes leading and negotiating transformational acquisitions and divestments. He has also been involved in the execution of a number of complex infrastructure financings, in both the domestic and international capital markets.

Lachlan’s deal experience includes acting as adviser on a number of substantial transactions including:

  • Melbourne Racing Club’s over $1 billion development of Caulfield Village
  • Becton’s (ASX: BEC) divestment of its $1 billion Funds Management business
  • Sale of Workforce on Tap to Programmed Maintenance Services (ASX: PGR)
  • Transurban’s (ASX: TCL) $1.5 billion takeover of Sydney Roads Group (ASX: SRG)
  • Transurban’s US acquisition and financing of Pocahontas
  • Transurban’s acquisition and financing of Capital Beltway
  • Westlink M7’s $1.25 billion bank debt refinancing

Prior to establishing Quercia Capital in 2009, Lachlan held a number of senior positions, including as Director – Infrastructure at Hastings Funds Management, and General Manager- Corporate Finance at Transurban.

Brett Skinner

Brett Skinner

Brett is a Strategic Finance Executive with over 23 years’ experience in financial strategy, negotiation and operational performance. Brett has extensive knowledge of Australia’s Toll Road Sector having worked for a number of years as the CFO and Commercial Director of the Roads and Traffic Authority (NSW) and General Manager, Strategy (Australia), at Transurban. Most recently, Brett was a Principal with Evans & Peck, where he was responsible for developing a business advisory practice to provide corporate and financial advice to Private Sector clients across a broad range of industries.

Through his private sector roles, Brett has developed extensive corporate advisory and deal experience, which includes commercial negotiations, valuations, operational due diligence, risk management and asset integration.

Through his public sector experience, Brett was involved in a number of the NSW government’s most significant toll road PPPs, including Westlink M7, Cross City Tunnel and Lane Cove Tunnel. This has given Brett an invaluable insight into the internal processes of Government, particularly as it relates to policy development, PPP procurement and refinancing approvals.

Chris Wong

Chris Wong

Chris is a Senior Finance Executive with over 12 years’ experience in Infrastructure Management, Mergers and Acquisitions and Project Finance. Through his career, Chris has been involved in a number of significant transactions including public takeovers and privately negotiated deals with Government agencies.

Chris has held a number of senior management positions, most recently with Transurban, where he was a Development Manager in the Australian Development Group and Head of Corporate Finance, with responsibility for Transurban’s Internal Advisory team. Prior to this, Chris spent a number of years in professional services working in Investment Banking and Corporate Advisory.

  • Sale of Workforce on Tap to Programmed Maintenance Services (ASX: PGR)
  • Interlink Roads’ $400 million M5 Widening Project – negotiated transaction (NSW Government)
  • Transurban’s $1.5 billion takeover of Sydney Roads Group (previous ASX: SRG)
  • Transurban’s $2.5 billion takeover of Hills Motorway Group (previous ASX: HLY)
  • Westlink M7’s $1.25 billion bank debt refinancing
  • Transurban’s $1.0 billion negotiated transaction (Victorian Government) – Southern Link / Monash Freeway / Westgate corridor enhancement
  • $2.0 billion Westlink M7 development project
  • $150 million Tulla-Calder interchange upgrade – negotiated transaction (Victorian Government)

Sherman Wong

Sherman Wong

Sherman is a corporate advisory professional with over 7 years’ experience in financial modelling and funds management.

Sherman spent 3 years with Infrastructure Capital Group, an institutional fund manager with over A$1.0 billion of infrastructure assets under management. His role included complex financial modelling construction and analyses, valuations, acquisition due diligence, investor relations and capital structure analyses. During this time, Sherman was also involved in a number of significant refinancings.

Prior to ICG, Sherman worked for market leaders in financial modelling, BPM Financial Modelling, where he specialised in building financial models for various analytical purposes, including acquisitions and business planning.

Sherman has worked on projects across a number of industries including Toll Roads, Regulated Energy Transmission, Water Infrastructure, Logistics, Banking, Funds Management, Renewable Energy (Wind), Mining and Forestry.
